Remembering Michael Ruse, CHSS co-author and colleague

Michael Ruse (1940-2024) died on November 1. I felt Michael was an honorary member of CHSS, he joined us at our invitation so often and figured so prominently in our discussions. It feels appropriate that the Committee post a memorial of his passing on its website. 

An obituary in The Toronto Globe and Mail, a recognition of his status as a Canadian philosopher who spent many years there, was published on November 10, 2024. Florida State University's Department of Philosophy, where he was a member of the faculty for many years, published a remembrance on November 10.
